Who is/isn't the mother?

Robin. Well I think we can for sure say that Robin is not the mother. In Season 3 episode 12 (No Tomorrow), Future Ted says

I found out years later that your mom was at that party. I just didn't meet her.

This definately rules out Robin as she was at Marshall and Lilly's House warming that night. UNDEBATABLE! It is not Robin

Any woman Ted knows or dated before Season 2 episode 15 (Lucky Penny). At the end of the episode, Future Ted says

My destiny was to stay in New York. Because if I hadn't, I would never have met your mother.

So we can assume from this that at this point, he has not yet met the mother. This in turn rules out all the woman up to this point which includes:

• "Krav Maga" Natalie (Sock monkey girl) (S01e04)
• Kelly and Coat Check Girl (S01e05)
• Slutty Pumpkin (S01e06)
• Sara O'Brien from Love Solutions (S01e07)
• Trudy from the pineapple incident (S01e10)
• Mary Beth (S01e11). Ted's date on NYE
• "Cupcake" Victoria (S01e12-e18)
• Mary the paralegal (S01e19)

How about the ladies from Season3? 

• Amy the Tatoo one night stand 
• Jersey girls 
• Soroity sisters Trudy (Again) and Rachel
• Stacey the bass player in the jamacan band 
• Blah Blah girl aka WoW gril
• Cathy ... the girl that talks too much
  
• Ashley the married woman at the st patty's day party 
• Stella 

In Season 4?

• Vicky ... the girl Ted performed the "Naked Man" on
• Karen ... Teds high school gf
• Holli ... the overly desparate one

Hmm OK i think i've mentioned every woman Ted has dated until now. And I think we can rule out all the women he didn't have a serious relationship with (i.e. more than one episode).

So who were the serious ones after Season 2 ep 15? From memory its only Robin and Stella.

We've already ruled out Robin, so what about Stella?

Well Stella is NOT the mother. The story is about how "Ted" met the mother, so if Stella was the mother. STORY OVER! Or at least the kids would think its over. There is also a flash forward scene where the kids are shown with blonde hair if Ted married Stella.

OK so what do we know for sure about the mother???

1. YELLOW Umbrella.  Do I need to cite anything here ... or is it GENERAL KNOWLEDGE *salutes*
2. Architecture Student? Ok I'm assuming here .. but at the end of season 4 ..  when Ted becomes Professor Mosby ...Future Ted says

   I wouldn't have met your mother. Because as you know, she was in that class

3. Somehow ... Stella  plays an important part of Ted meeting the mother. This is clear in Season 4 episode 22 (Right Place, Right Time). The episode centers around Ted being at the right place at the right time ... the right place being at a crosswalk .. the right time being Stella being there too. Ted goes on to say that if he knew that all circumstances would lead him to that place at that time, he would go back and thank everyone. Which implies that this moment is important in the story of Ted meeting the mother.  This is some what validated as Tony (Stella's fiance) is the one that sets Ted up with the gig as a Professor of Architecture. But I'm sure Stella has an even bigger role later on.

OK ...so what about the theories out there .... hold onto your seats =)

Theory 1

The mother's name is ... wait for it .... TRACY (nice yeah?). This was revealed in Season 1 .. Yes Season1 in episode 9. Future Ted joked that this stripper (whose "real" name is Tracy) is the mother. Why would the writers include the name of the stripper as part of the joke ... hmmm ... 

Theory 2

The "Soul Mate" found by Love Solutions. It is also speculated that this is the Mother. Which would make sense in the fact that Ted has yet to met her. Also in the profile it is noted that she shares the same interests as Ted AND wants TWO KIDS ... a BOY and a GIRL. Much like the two kids Future Ted is telling the story to.

Theory 3

Remember the St Patrick's Day Party episode? Ted has said that the mother was there that night. There is a scene where Ted bumps into another girl while walking towards Barney. Ted says sorry and she says "Its OK".  It is also theorized by fans that this might be the Mother, because how else would this brief scene contributed to the story. Some ppl have gone to the extend of freeze framing that moment and trying to match up the clothes of a woman in a earlier scene waiting outside the club with the "yellow umbrella". BUT as it is mentioned, Ted does not meet the mother at the party. So going by that bumping into and acknowledging each other COUNTS as meeting to me.

Theory 4

In Lucky Penny, the episode finishes off by Future Ted saying that his destiny was not to go to Chicago, but to stay in New York. Because if he hadn't, he would have not met the mother. NOW ... why didn't Ted make it to the plane to Chicago on time??? .. well they traced it back to the penny. If Ted didn't find the penny on the subway, then all the resultant chain of events wouldn't of happen to stop him missing his flight. The 1939 penny was also mentioned in earlier in the season in epsiode 2 (Season 2). So maybe the penny has some significance to Ted meeting the mother. When Ted and Robin trace it to Ted finding the penny as the reason why he missed the flight, Robin says " ... unless you know who dropped that penny?" .. Ted replies ... "I wish I did ..."

It's a new year!!

So it's been a year since we last entered anything in this.

I thought I might just add a few news items:

1. US has elected their first African American (half?) President
2. Apple has released a new iPod Nano
3. Google has launched its new Chrome web browser (not sure if its gaining much of the market)
4. Skype has launched Moka Chat which enables users to speak in 3 different languages English, Chinese and Spanish ( 2 Indo-European (Inflectional) and 1 Sin0-Tibetan (isolating) languages)

Oh and ed and I have reached 2years 2 months and 12 days.

It's been a yR~!!

For our one yr ..we headed down to Daylesford for the weekend end ... rented a beautiful place in the middle of nowhere to celebrate ... well .. celebrate.. that we made it to one yr yet again ... well we stayed at 'Cleaver Hill Estate' shown on the right here and came equipped with a rear projector tv ... fire place ...and a huge bathroom with a spa and lcd tv ...

We explored daylesford a bit ..... went to the local lake and took a nice walk around it on the sunny saturday morning ..until mica started complaining that she was tired .. even though we just woke up probably 2hrs ago ... so we went and had lunch at the boat house ... which was yum ..i had the duck risotto ... and mica had soup .. forgot which kinda.. maybe she can tell u ... we also took a trip across town ... when i say across town.. i mean.. that we drove across to the otherside of the main street in daylesford to a look out point .... had to walk up a set of pretty steep spiral steps which caused mica to hit her head as a result of focusing too much on no falling down ...

well mica had a bruised head .. i was feeling a bit light headed from taking a BOILING spa too early in the morning ... so it was perfect timing that it was time for our appointment at daylesford day spa .... OMG ... soooOO relaxing.. first we soaked in a spa for 30mins .. followed by a massage ... then ... a ....i dunno.. some sorta sandy mixture they rubbed all over my body... followed by a body scrub?? ... then a facial .. i dunno wot they were all called... tell them mica .. i cna't remember ... anyway... it was sooooOO good i fell asleep during the facial ... 3hrs overall ... money well spent i reckon ...

Lovely Weather for studying...my ramblings...

Man, my gland is really acting up today... to think, it'll only be with me for another week. Just one week until its surgically removed from my jaw. *shiver*

Anyway, Melbourne has been experiencing such lovely Spring ( about 1 week early) weather, and I along with many of my uni friends have been tempted to just screw the lab reports, the final year project and preparations for the mid-sem tests to just lounge around outside.

BUT, being the diligent student that I am, I've opted instead to sit in the Melbourne Law library and write in this blog while pretending to be studying and listening to Avant.



Speaking of studying, does anyone really understand the "critical issues" of High speed digital systems? What is the difference between open-loop and closed-loop timing ? And when will our lecturer improve on his communication skills, because obviously we're not getting any of this.



Yup. A lot of studying is needed or I might see the same results for dig sys 3. Ah, Uni Sq looks so enticing from this window.

NARUTO CRAZY~!!!

NARUTO HAS TAKEN OVER MY SPARE TIME~!!!!! .... every moment of my weekend... from when i get home from work till i go to sleep .. its NARUTO ... DAMN IT~!!!! why does Sasuke turn evil (.. yes i unfortuntely found out reading his bio on wikipedia) .... Currently up to 76 coz i'm missing the episodes from 76 to 90 ... SOMEONE HELP ME ... oh .. when i say HELP .. i mean supply me with those missing episodes hahahah ...

For those who don't know.. and i doubt there are many out there... Naruto is a anime centered around .. of course 'Naruto' and his pursuit to become a Hokage (the leader and most powerful ninja of the village) ... those who haven't seen it .. OMG its a MUST ... from left to right .. and the characters are pretty predictable .. we have .. 'Sakura' .. the know it all of ninja techniques and history ... the guy on top .. he is their sensei ... 'Kakashi' .. he reads 'Adult' novels as u seen he is reading one right there ... seen him in a couple of battles .. although not against the best .. he is one of the students of a former Hokage .. so he must be up there~!!! .. then there is 'Sasuke' in the blue.. the student with the most talent and ability ... and finally on the right is 'Naruto' .. the boy with the most heart and determination to succeed and of course the one with the most potential .....ahh.. my favourite team of ninja's form TEAM 7 ...

On another note.... i have started a forum for every1 to keep in touch .. since these days every1 seems so busy and we hardly see each other... its the 'Whatsgoinon' forum http://groups.google.com.au/group/whatsgoinon?hl=en ... well it still hasn't really 'kicked off' yet ... but i hope we can all use it to stay in touch and perhaps organize events to get together ... if you need a invite .. just pop me a email at my gmail acc ..

No Work and Teddy's Growth

(Mica's 2nd Post)

It's has been nearly a month since my last post, so it would be a good idea to quickly summarized my recent activities to get everyone up to speed.

23rd July: Uni Sem 2 started

31st July: Went to see Phantom of the Opera

1 Aug: 11 months anniversary and received beautiful flowers from Ed

10 Aug: Last day at my intern placement (coincidentally the last source of income ~>_<~)

13 Aug: First Monday without having to wake up at 7.30 am

I woke up at 7.00 am though as I was back in St Albans and I wanted to catch a lift with Tram on her way to work. This was the start to one of the most relaxing days I have ever known this stress-ridden year. Yes. Not only did I not have to turn up to work, I also had no classes scheduled on Mondays. I could have eaten, slept and watch chinese drama to my heart's content ... although if I did I would not admit it because my project partner might kick my ass.

After spending a few hours down the block in a little area known to many as "Melb Uni" I came back home to enjoy the afternoon sun and the peace and quiet of my apartment. Little did I know that a little bunny though quite grown was enjoying this sun as well.

According to my calculations Teddie (the bunny) is approx 3 months old. She's not longer the cute little fur ball as in our earlier post. Due to the extreme and grueling training program she gives herself she really is a lean mean bunny. As some of you are privy to our home you will know that the obstacle course in her training ground includes laps around the couches, hurdling the coffee table lower beams, leaps onto the tallest posts in the room (again couches) and also my favourite because I always win, a race to my bedroom before I close the door on her. hehe

She carries scars from her physical exertions, although it more like she got too close to the candle and half her whiskers curled up.. hehe. She's funny.
